Not even a month after our French-Icelandic meeting, a new football event was a perfect excuse to get together about 20 persons on our good old terrace...
Not much more a "cultural" event than the previous one had been!
We could, and can discuss any time about what we should call "CULTURAL"...
Anyway, THAT very evening, the 3rd of July 2016, HĂ–FN had invited some friends and partners of our association,
only FRENCH PEOPLE (alas... all our Icelandic friends had come back to their country!),
as well as members, friends and partners of the HÔTEL DU NORD cooperative,
incorporating both members of the cooperative AND new "fellow travelers", coming, at least most of them, from Poitiers,
to work the day after on our BIG Cooperative of Cooperatives project H2H.
All those people did not necessarily know each other, and eventhough they were all French people,
their interest for the France-Iceland match that night did not rely on a nationalistic feeling specially or solely favourable towards France...
Actually, the rather bitter defeat (5-2...) that the Icelandic team suffered that sad 3rd of July did not bring much joy on our terrace, far from it!
We were by the end of the evening mainly united by the feelig we had been supporting a valiant little nation until the very end,
we shared the same interest for all languages and cultures, not only the French one, had the same weakness for the so-called "minorities",
were all very pleased to drink good wine an enjoy a very nice buffet "in the HĂ–FN style",
thus preparing in a friendly way the following day which was to be dedicated to work hard on the project H2H.
